Seven things about me...
1. My claim to fame is being on the telly box, starring briefly on Pebble Mill with Sir Norman Wisdom during the Bognor Regis Clown Convention back in the 1980s.
2. Other exciting celebrity encounters include having dinner with Ken Russell, drinking tea with Chas of Chas & Dave and meeting Douglas Coupland at a literary festival signing... I think I only said two words as I was starstruck, but he was as cool and inspiring as I dared hope.

3. I like books, I prefer paperbacks, and morbid ones. I also have a Masters in Literature.
4. I also love music! Live music can make me feel amazing, there is nothing else like it. I come to life in dark, sweaty crowded rooms, full of strangers, dancing, singing and waving my arms about to a band that I love.
5. My appreciation of all things retro begun with the 1970s when I was a teenager in the 1990s, discovering punk and new wave music and experimenting with safety pins in my fashion, but I'm far too polite to be a proper punk!
6. When I was a little girl, I entered a Holiday Princess Competition. I went on on stage with lots of other little girls (who as I recall all wanted to be nurses) when it came to my turn, I said that when I grew up, I wanted to be a woman. Everyone laughed. I didn't win! Even though I was obviously a natural entertainer!
7. My favourite colour is red!
